Theatre Institute publications on the PQ Publication Award long list

Two publications published by the Theatre Institute have been longlisted for the PQ Best Publication Award Prague Quadrennial: the three-volume Zmiana ustawienia. Polska scenografia teatralna i społeczna XX i XXI wieku [Changing the Setting. Set Design in Polish Theatre and Society] and Reclaimed Avant-garde: Spaces and Stages of Avant-garde Theatre in Central and Eastern Europe. We are very pleased and are impatiently waiting for the announcement of the competition shortlist.

The aim of the prize is to support artists and spread awareness of research in the field of contemporary theatre and performance. The competition welcomes publications concerning stage and performance design in the broadest sense. Owing to the venture, experts, and established and emerging set designers can learn about new methods of visual drama, theatre architecture, creative techniques and practices.
