The authors of Urban reflections project are inviting you to take a part in a game which Urban tribe plays both with surrounding and spectators. Thinking about a walk in the historical district of Prague, we propose costumes which reflect and multiply fragments of the city, passers-by, as well as members of the tribe themselves. Our idea is to play with perspective by means of reflective costumes which deform reality and bring in surprising space solutions. We invite you to come closer to the tribe and become a part of costume.
Urban reflection project is a proposition of experimental costumes, which interact both with spectator and surrounding. The project was created for presentation within the Prague Quadriennial 2015, Tribes section.
Urban tribe consists of three figures wearing mirror forms. Each costume is made of collapsible modules, which reflect and multiply particular fragments of the surrounding. When approaching to buildings, passers-by and other objects these reflections are to be seen upon the costume structure. Moreover, each outfit is equipped with helmet, which exposes slightly futuristic design of the project.
